Laying a pipeline at a summer cottage without trenches

Laying a pipeline at a summer cottage without trenches

In our magazine there was an advertisement of the St. Petersburg company “Krot-EK", Which dealt with laying of underground pipelines in summer cottages and in gardening using a trenchless method... This service attracted the attention of many readers, but not everyone understood the technology itself. Therefore, we invited the head of the company, S. D. Popov, to the editorial office and asked him to tell us about the work performed.

Corr .: - Sergey Dmitrievich, is the name "Krot-EK" accidental or is the direction of the firm's activity encrypted in it?

S.D .: - We really put a semantic load into the name of our enterprise. Many gardeners have a negative attitude towards the mole, and this is understandable. We treat this animal with sympathy only for its ability to move underground. With the help of the appropriate equipment, we can also lay various pipelines in the ground without destroying the surface. And the letters "EC" mean: EC-onomy, EC-ology; EK-exclusive.

Corr .: - Please decipher, and what else can you offer to the owners of country houses, estates and those gardeners who stay on the site even in winter?

S.D .: - So, "savings" ... For example, in horticulture, they decided to replace the defective surface water supply system with an underground one, in order to use it in the cold season. The old water supply system was laid 15 years ago and is functioning at the very least. Its pipes run along the boundaries of the sections and, as a rule, are clamped by buildings, plantings, etc. It turns out that in order to replace it in the usual way, it must be turned off, dismantled, the necessary territory must be cleared, a trench must be dug (which means that some passages must be blocked), lay a new one, fill up and restore what was destroyed on the surface.

According to our technology: three pits are dug below the freezing point of the soil on one straight line with a distance of 50 meters from each other. Two-sided drilling is carried out from the middle pit at a speed of 1 meter per minute. At the same speed, pipes are being pulled underground from technological pits. As a result, laying a 100-meter pipeline underground, taking into account the preparatory operations, will take 6 hours of working time.

To this we must add that our equipment does not require stopping transport, shutting down the existing equipment. The pipes are laid along the shortest path (under buildings, landscaped areas, roads, reservoirs, etc.). The drilling process is monitored with a scanner. And, most interestingly, you can even change the direction of the drill to avoid various obstacles.

If we compare our technology with a shot, then the accuracy of hitting a drill at a distance of 50 meters in a square of 50 x 50 mm is 100%. By the way, our equipment allows you to lay a polyethylene pipe with a diameter of up to 315 mm, or a whip of three pipes with a diameter of 110 mm.

With its help, you can also change, without opening a trench, old pipes laid in the ground for new ones. And even with an increase in diameter. Now it is easy to draw a conclusion about the economic feasibility of applying our method. Financial costs are reduced by a third.

Now about "ecology", here, in my opinion, everything is clear. How much destruction on the surface of the earth and inconveniences from dug trenches, blocked roads, etc. would have been with the old method. At 100 meters in length, we have one pit 3x1.5 m for equipment and 2 pits with a size of 0.5 x 1.0 m for tightening pipes.

And the "exclusive" means that our approach is individual. There are various situations when the work cannot be done in the usual way. More recently, we laid a pipeline from a well to a cottage with a landscaped area and a strong foundation (1.8 m deep). It was necessary to get into the concrete basement and through the opening measuring 50x30 cm from the basement to stretch the pipe into the cellar where the pumping station was installed. We have successfully coped with the work.

And here is an example of a job in gardening. There is no "common" water in it, but the Vodokanal pipeline passes next to the highway. Only it is impossible to block the road ... We calmly stretched pipes under the road ...

This is one aspect of our firm's activities. In addition, we propose to get rid of excess groundwater on the site. With our help, you can not only get rid of unnecessary water, but also get an additional source in dry times. Our technology and equipment also allows you to do this work without massive excavations and unnecessary trenches.

Corr .: - What is the cost of the work performed by your company?

S.D .: -Calculation of estimates is rather complicated. It takes into account the diameter of the pipes, the composition of the soil, the depth of laying, the conditions at the place of work, the remoteness of the object from the city limits, the availability of electricity. We are ready to provide calculations for a specific object. I ask readers to call us and ask their questions. We are glad to any client, regardless of rank, and are ready to meet everyone halfway.

Drainage - what is it? Precise definition and photo examples

To be precise, drainage is a system of drainage of rain and groundwater from a certain area in order to prevent flooding. Those. its device is necessary in most cases even at the construction stage. But still, ready-made buildings, around which drainage is not provided, can be protected. The main thing is to think over the entire system in detail, draw up a project and make some efforts to bring it to life.

In order to understand in general terms how the drainage system of a yard or building is arranged, it makes sense to consider several photo examples.

Of course, the whole algorithm of the work of the drainage system associated with the device cannot be understood by looking only at the photo. This means that there is a need to consider all the nuances of drainage both from the local area and from the cellar, garage and other buildings. Well, if we return to the question of what drainage is for, then there are a lot of answers to it. But the main function of water drainage, of course, will be to protect the foundation from destruction, and cellars and yards from flooding.

The choice of electrical cable for wiring underground

In underground wiring, types of armored cables are used - VB 6SHV, as well as VB6SHVng, these products are protected from steel. This option is resistant to mechanical damage and will not allow rodents to damage the wiring.
With this protection, the cable will last for many years. The armored cable is laid without a pipeline, but the use of a pipe is recommended to avoid damage to the wiring by government officials. organizations in the process of work.
An electric wire for laying in the ground should be selected taking into account the required power of the facility consumers. For example:

    • VBShvng 4x6 cable is designed for 11kW power
    • The VBShvng 4x10 cable is designed for a power of 15 kW
    • The VBShvng 4x16 cable is designed for a power of 21 kW.

Winter and summer water supply at the summer cottage

Summer water supply system can be collapsible or stationary, here everything depends only on the desire of the summer resident. It is quite simple to organize such a water supply using metal-plastic, polyethylene pipes or ordinary watering hoses. The most important thing is that the summer water supply at the dacha does not impede movement and is not damaged.

The most popular summer water supply is a rubber or silicone hose, the parts of which are connected with special parts. In its finished form, it looks like a simple plumbing or even a complex grid spread across the entire territory of the dacha. Such a water supply system is used mainly for irrigation on the site.

Summer water supply can be organized from metal-plastic, polyethylene or ordinary watering hoses

It is very important not to forget about cleaning the summer water supply before the cold snap at the dacha. It must be dismantled, dried as best as possible and placed in a dry, warm storage place.

This design is a stationary standard water supply system on the territory of the summer cottage, which does not require assembly and disassembly; it is enough to lay it once. But this process requires careful implementation, a correctly drawn up plan for a country water supply system, the selection of equipment and material for assembling the water supply system, and its competent insulation.

The well as a permanent source of water

Dacha communities, remote cottage settlements, villages are often located outside the "comfort zone" - centralized heating networks and water supply systems, so we will talk about autonomous ways of providing and delivering water.

Rivers and lakes are under state jurisdiction, so they cannot adjoin an individual site under the current legislation (the territory of 25 m from the water cannot become private property).

Water intake for watering a vegetable garden or garden is sometimes carried out from a permitted natural source - a pond. But in order to purify water to the level of drinking water, multi-barrier filters will be required, and this is unprofitable.

Thus, there remains a well - a traditional source of drinking water for most of the domestic regions. The well method of providing water has developed historically, besides, it is functionally that the well is convenient for both automatic and manual use.

In addition to it, tubular water intake sources are popular, but not everyone can afford to equip an expensive well for seasonal use.

If you are the happy owner of a well (wooden, concrete, brick) with a sufficient flow rate, then for the water supply device you will need to install a pump and lay communications connecting the source with the house.

The work can be done on your own or with the help of specialists who will help you calculate the amount of building materials, choose a pump, lay pipes correctly and make internal wiring.
